About this piece:
This is a reproduction print from a series of oracle imagery by Erika Karl. The original artwork for this piece was created with homemade black walnut ink on cold-press watercolor paper. Erika makes her own inks from ingredients found in her environment or with specific ingredients she seeks from other makers. Walnut ink gives a warmer tone than black inks. This particular piece was painted at the shores of Lake Erie under the total eclipse of 2024.
