I’ve been invited back to show another group show at Deborah Master’s studio this June. Deborah Masters Studio presents the early summer edition of “SHIFTED GROUND: Reflections on a New Landscape”.

From the quiet shifts in the inner mind to the radical transformation of the land beneath our feet, artists map the changing contours of our existence.

Frau Perchta’s Warning

I’ll be showing Frau Perchta’s Warning from a new series based on folklore. Frau Perchta is a shadow cast over a once-glowing deity from northern Europe, Berchta. As Christianity changed our belief systems, the sacred feminine became more sinister, and something to be feared rather than a helping caretaker and guardian of spirit and nature. I used natural Earth pigments and metal leaf to create this piece. Come see her, and me in person Satureday June 6th!
